The Admissions/Insurance Clerk performs and provides administrative support services for the Admission Process. He/She contacts patients and patient family members for admission registration and maintains files. The Admission/Insurance Clerk is also responsible for verifying benefits, payment rates and contractual affiliations for all inpatient accounts.
- Maintains files, charges and all referral and admissions
- Helps to retrieve patient signatures on appropriate forms when necessary
- Ensures that all patient insurance is verified prior to treatment
- Aides in the Admission and Discharge process of all patients, etc.
