Floor Technician

Position Purpose

The Floor Technician works under the direction of the Environmental Service Manager and is responsible for keeping the facility clean and orderly at all times.

  • Dust, mop, and damp mop floors daily as needed
  • Sweep and mop soiled utility rooms and infectious holding areas
  • Wipe walls, doors and blinds as needed
  • Pick up linen and trash and take to holding area
  • Sort linen for pickup
  • Strip and wax floor, shampoo carpet
  • Spray and buff tile floors as needed

Position Requirements

1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. Knowledge of maintaining public businesses.
3. Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
4. One to two years experience in hospital environmental services preferred.
