Radiology Technologist/Phlebotomist

Position Purpose

The Radiology Technologist/Phlebotomist performs interpretive patient care and technical functions to ensure proper radiologic diagnosis of patients. He/She will also be responsible for blood drawing, assessing and distribution of clinical laboratory specimens for testing, which includes sending out and transporting specimens to contracted laboratories, as well as performing clerical duties and billing functions as directed.
 

 

Position Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:
           
 
  1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology
  2. Must hold a current state Radiographic Technologist license
  3. Basic computer experience- Microsoft word, excel
  4. Must be able to read, write, and speak English
 
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
 
Physical:        Walking -       up to 40%      Standing -      up to 75%      Kneeling -      up to 15%
                        Sitting -           up to 25%      Pushing -       up to 10%      Bending -       up to 25%
                        Squatting -     up to 5%        Pulling -         up to 5%        Reaching -    up to   5%     
                        Lifting -           up to 50 lbs.  Wrist/Finger movements -  up to 90%
                       
Mental:           Stress Level: Moderate to high
 
EXPOSURE RISK: Category I - Jobs in which required tasks routinely involve potential for mucous membranes or skin contact with blood, body fluids, tissues or potential spills or splashes. Use of appropriate measures is required for every healthcare provider in these jobs.
 
EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, MATERIALS, MACHINES USED: General diagnostic radiographic equipment, portable/mobile equipment including C-Arm.  General office equipment such as telephone, facsimile machine, copier, printers, computers.
BD Vacutainer, needles, tourniquet, alcohol pads.
 
CERTIFICATIONS: BLS, Texas License in Radiology Science, ARRT
