Rehab Manager

Position Purpose:

Responsible for the direction of the Comprehensive Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. Coordinates and supervises operations of the department. Works closely with liaisons and Medical Director to achieve budgeted census and assure compliance with regulations. Responsible for referral development to include both internal and external marketing. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in PI activities. Assures competency of all associates. Assists in formulating the budget and takes appropriate action to remain within budget guidelines. Develops and implements a system of reviewing department charges, ensures that patient charges are accurate and entered in a timely basis. Maintains efficient and effective departmental operations while requiring compliance with all state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols. Maintains records pertinent to associates and operation of the department. Prepares reports regarding rehabilitation services, e.g. utilization, performance improvement, service data, outcome data, productivity, including the long-term capital budget and the short-term operational budget. Works closely with medical staff and leadership to develop, implement and maintain clinical programs that enhance the quality of care and achieve a high level of patient, family, associate and provider.
 

Qualifications

  • Must hold a current state license and must maintain license renewal in accordance with the proper licensing Board as a; Registered Nurse, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Therapist, Social Worker or Respiratory Therapist.
  • Two (2) years experience in an acute or IRF setting
  • Must possess managerial skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Basic computer skills with minimal guidance
